Camo, Animal prints and Jean Shirt

These are what I'm obsessing about these days. I used to think animal prints are too tacky, but I'm starting to really fall in love with the print when it's in little unassuming accents like a scarf or shoes or a pouch. That's why one stressful day, this purchase happened!!

I'm not alone in my Camo fetish. These days, Phoebe & Maviv - my HR babies are on a hunt for the perfect camo jacket and pants. So we try whatever we find at the mall & even in sidewalks and night markets where I found these oh-so-lovely  ripped camo skinnies ohhhlala

And this jacket is actually something I just tried on but never actually bought haha

Haha. 

A jean shirt is actually a wardrobe staple. It's so versatile I can use it anytime anywhere and instantly feel fab! I have it in all kinds of fabric but my favorite is this one from Forever 21. They're the softest & I wear them almost every time I get it from the laundry ❤❤

Fort Photo Shoot (for Sugar&Spice's September Collection)

I’m blessed to be surrounded with gorgeous, good-looking people around me – not to mention that they’re all too willing to put up with all these brouhaha that goes with me having a blog, my unrelenting obsession to styling & keeping, maintaining an online store. (Thanks much Abby Cabbie & Sasa Girl) That Earl is crazy about doing photo shoots is just the icing on top of the cake, really. So one hot sunny day, off we went to Fort San Pedro, which by the way was never the original location – but we were whisked away, so we had to find an alternative. We ended up having a blast! I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Below are some of my favourites, enjoy!

I’m prepping myself up for big major changes that are happening in my life. None that is unwelcome though, but all things bright and sunny. I see it shining over the horizon. I can’t wait.

Sugar and Spice Shoot

Finally. Yes, finally. I am actually ticking MAJOR items in my bucket list which are:

1.) Create/Make a fashion blog.

2.) Start an online store

3.) Style a fashion photo shoot.

The first, I must admit took me a long time. At first I was just content poring over pages of my fashion icons' blogs & getting inspired by their looks almost always. But really, I am a writer at heart. I may not be good (yet!) at it but I am certainly one to chronicle every single major happening in my life, so why not publish it for my fans (namely: Earl & my Mom & maybe my soul sisters Mayet & Gang-gang - haha) to enjoy. 

The online store is really more of a creative outlet than anything else. In the words of my friend Grace Smith, kay ganahan man jud ta aning sanina na hala pagkakitaan nalang - to which I say, Amen.

The styling, ow em gee, is a passion I have nurtured down deep for so loooooong now. I know it would be next to impossible (or who knows one day, this dream will come true, bahala na si Lord) to style someone in a fashion shoot, but while I wait for God's perfectly timed moment to arrive, I might as well make use of my gorgeous husband Earl who is as crazy about photography as I am about clothes, to take gorgeous (overused word) photos of my friends dressed in street-style apparel in where else but my 2nd home(dbtc)

And that's exactly what we did on a sunny afternoon of Aug. 6. It didn't matter that I did Nika & Sasa's make up, created their looks/dressed & styled them & also modeled (kay suyaon man ko) all at the same time in a ngarag fashion -  in the end, dreams are worth every blood, sweat and tears and for this one to finally be reality, is like it is, surreal.

Thank you Lord for the passion, for my hubby na mangunsinti ra jud, for my little sisters nika & sasa for their gung ho spirit & for being all too willing guinea pigs hahahaha, for june and mich who were literally PA's (hehe). Thank you indeed.
